For a lot of the stores that I frequently shop at I usually take advantage of its reward point systems. If you shop there all the time then why not get free stuff for it too right? I usually use this PC points app where you often get these coupons such as if you spend $50 then you get $10 back in points. This company is actually Loblaws that owns so many stores. That’s not a bad savings if you intended to buy stuff anyways such as your weekly groceries. What I did notice with offers like these is how sometimes when you redeem it they will then give you a similar offer that is not as good. For example, now it will be $10 back for every $60 you spend.
It’s almost like they are testing the waters to see how little you are willing to receive in order to make a purchase today. Funny enough, knowing that they do this I usually just ignore using the app in general until I get a good offer. That way I suppose their data is interpreting it as their customer isn’t shopping with them or spending their money elsewhere. So they better give me a great deal to bring me back.
I found this consistently works too. Recently by doing this I got an offer where if you simply spend $20 then you can get $5 back. That’s the best deal I ever received from them actually in term of reward points to purchase ratio. Goes to show that if you hold out until you actually get good offers they can come fairly quickly and frequently. Like playing hard to get with the stores huh?
