This was an interesting topic lately where there are companies banking on the idea that people will no longer need to spend time on search engines as there will be AI solutions such as ones built into the browser that will search the entire Internet for you and summarize the events. I suppose that would be convenient for breaking news items.
Generally speaking, I found the quality of searches in Google to be dropping fast in recent years. The results seem very unrelated or oddly enough it seems like they self censor/filter so many sites where you can’t really find what you truly need versus constantly displaying sources that they think would have the answers. Imagine trying to find updated news of a local incident except their search engine gives no priority or exposure to list those average people posting real time information versus them waiting for a large media outlet to report it.
So that makes me think if it is wise to start getting into the habit of using other methods to find information on the Internet as I wouldn’t doubt that is the way of the future. It’s important for business owners too because that means you should start working immediately to make sure say these AI bots can start crawling your content in order to present your offerings.
