Well, this was kind of surprising as today I was reading an apparent press release that the restaurant chain Red Lobster was re-introducing its famous endless shrimp deal where for a flat fee you can literally eat all the shrimp you want. This deal was the primary blame for the company filing for bankruptcy before so you have to wonder why they would have this again. As it turned out, the company had major issues financially that wasn’t related to the endless shrimp deals and so I suppose this can still work as a great advertisement of sort to get people in the restaurants.
The theory is that the endless shrimp deal was just a scapegoat of sort to try and hide all the internal corruption per se as that is what many people concluded when they looked at the financial records. But either way, it’s such a well-known promotion where it would be a waste to never use it again. If anything, it would be understandable to have say a stricter time limit or something if cost is the issue. Because one could actually spend way more money coming up and executing some kind of viral marketing plan instead.
I never actually tried this actually and it would make me want to see what the fuss is about.
