While waiting for the fireworks to start today there were a lot of people camping out spots as expected to get an ideal seating and view for free at areas like the beach. One thing that got me thinking is how there were spots on the lower area. But, you had to walk through some rocks to get there where you may get splashed with water. Because of that, not many people ventured there. For those who did, the trek was literally like ten seconds and they were able to get pretty good spots without much fuss. It wasn’t too big of a deal, but it makes you think even in a service based business there are a lot of premium opportunities to provide services at premium rates for these less than desirable tasks. Example, having to go through areas with a lot of bugs where a small investment in a suit of some sort would make it no big deal.
You can even think a little further such as how people hate dealing with garbage and are more than willing to pay extra to have someone deal with it. Like they say, it’s a dirty job, but someone’s got to do it. You can get compensated well too. Some stuff seems kind of odd such as how many people think farming is too “dirty” and so they would rather pay someone a lot of money versus them trying to do it themselves. It’s not even a matter of a time issue. It makes you wonder how much we can all save each year if we learn not to be afraid to get our hands dirty once in awhile huh?
