Well, as you know recently my Samsung S23 ultra appeared to have died where it just randomly started to go on a reboot cycle and apparently the motherboard is generating a lot of heat even after the failed bootups. From what I read there has been a lot of reports of this hardware defect that seems to be a result of faulty firmware. Considering this is a flagship phone that I got right on the release day, you would expect top quality where the phone will last. So because the warranty has run out as well, I am going to use this as a study too see if the company honors its hardware faults through the advertised channels.
Because what makes my situation more unique is that I was actually video recording my walk at the time with a GoPro and this phone began to die where everything was captured. This is proof that they can’t blame the customer such as the phone dropping or anything. Usually in these cases when a product is out of warranty the consumer would get the cold shoulder as they will be expected to just pay for the repair. Most people won’t go further to escalate the situation. But for the sake of a business test I’ll will document the whole thing and see if they do say a goodwill warranty considering again it is a known issue.
It’s always more interesting when you are an entrepreneur too as you won’t just go in screaming like a disgruntled customer versus just following the corporate procedures. I know for myself if I read genuine complaints where the person had that much proof I would want to fix the situation as the business owner. So, let’s see how this turns out.
