I was just enjoying the day today and played some Pokémon Go as I bumped into some familiar faces. We also decided to do some trading where I wasn’t too picky as I needed a regular Pokémon to fill a set and this was the interesting part as the person I was trading with started to scan my collection and wanted something rare. That’s when the people around us reacted on how the person was in a sense trying to take advantage of my generosity and as a result, they just tried to find something more basic.
That’s interesting as even in business the regular people always look at whether or not the business is taking advantage of people as well to determine if they should even say shop with them. Who wants to support someone that treats people like numbers and simply a way to make themselves rich right? That’s often why you see so many businesses do charity work or sponsor local events as they have to show they support others versus just seeing them as a money source.
In my opinion, you should be honest as this reminds me of like that Pawn Stars show where even if the owner gets an ignorant customer who doesn’t know the value of the item where it Is undervalued the owner still tries to offer a fair price. Honesty goes a long way.
