Around this time I usually evaluate if there are any services and contracts that require a change such as telecom providers that may be getting too expensive or the quality has simply dropped. Therefore, I usually explore different options to be prepared for the new year. I usually hate switching service providers for most things as the hassle of moving can be time consuming o the point where you just don’t want to be bothered. However, some providers actually have specific services to help you migrate in order to reduce the barriers to doing so.
That’s actually overlooked for a lot of services such as webhosting I thought where if you have some kind of say free or very cheap option for people to move from a company they aren’t happy with that will increase the odds of one making the move. That was definitely the case for me. Funny enough, in one case I was actually thinking of changing banking services too but having certain services like credit cards with them makes me wonder if the hassle of changing everything over is worth it.
Either way for myself, it looks like I will be changing some stuff for 2024.
