NVIDIA Controlling Media Controversy

This is very common in the news media world where companies often give outlets early access to products to review in hopes that all the positive reviews will generate hype and sales for the products. Of course, if people start talking negative about the products it will do the opposite. So many times, companies essentially only give its products to people whom they feel will always give positive reviews and others will be ignored. NVIDIA seems to be the most recent company that reviewers are complaining about where they are alleging their reviews must comply with certain stipulations or else they won’t be provided access to various media benefits.

This is one of those things as a company where I’m sure it sounds good on paper to simply get hundreds of people talking positive about you. But nowadays, people take notice when companies intentionally ignore say popular media outlets as people see right through it and hence all those people who are simply only going to talk positive about the company will be ousted as untrustworthy. Therefore, it’s technically better to work with even your harshest critic.

If you don’t have confidence in your product to pass through even the harshest critics too you have to wonder as a consumer how good is the company’s products really as it would remind you of say only seeing celebrities endorse a product with virtually no regular user reviews. This probably worked in the old media days but not today where everyone can instantly share their opinions online.
