Not Buying Everything To Save Some For Others

Usually for people who are struggling to get by financially I often hear people say where if they ever get rich they’ll buy whatever they want such as owning multiple expensive cars and homes. Why that got me thinking recently is how in the news here apparently some statistics were released to show where when it came to home ownership and people not being able to find affordable housing a big issue is that there is as significant portion of wealthy individuals that own say three properties where they rent them out for a high price.

Just making more homes as an example won’t solve the issue if people who have the money continually buy up real estate as an investment to make money out of others. So if you are someone with the money do you actually consider others when it comes to essential items like these where you will only buy what you need? The more common example could food and supplies where you know there is going to be a shortage and huge demand for certain items. Like there, would you have no reservations in buying everything to simply resell it at a higher price to make a profit? Or would you be considerate and leave the rest for others?

People usually say separate business and emotions where in these cases it should be all about the numbers. However, I think everyone needs to be socially responsible as well where at the end of the day if the community around you is not doing well because of one’s hoarding it will ultimately affect everyone.
