Have you seen that fully AI generated video that McDonald’s recently released that was essentially themed around making the Christmas holiday sound like a hell hole of sort to the port where the pitch is that you can just go to McDonalds and relax? The joke didn’t seem to resonate with the public bit rather did the opposite. For example, a lot of people view replacing humans with AI in these instances as bad as it comes across as a company that doesn’t value people. On top of this creative direction, it almost seemed like they relied an AI program to tell them to go ahead with it.
I think this is a reminder where AI can be great for a data based second opinion or to quickly do some repetitive tasks. But people still value the human factor when it comes to a business and you still need real people to seriously think decisions over as a robot lacks that human emotional intelligence for the most part. I remember doing an analogy test with an AI to see how well it can try to relate complex topics to average people and the clear issue is that the AI bots often lacked the human emotions to make the examples really click with people versus just trying to match things one to one with no feelings.
For example, I think AI ca be good to help you fix up your presentation and errors you may have overlooked. But it needs to be just your little helper for now I think versus trying to use it to completely replace the need for a human.
