Making Sure You Buy Good Deals For Reward Points

This was delightful surprise today as I got one of those PC Points offers where if I spend $75 they would give me 50,000 points which is essentially $50. Great deal that I had to take advantage of. The challenge was that you had to shop at a store called Shoppers Drug Mart which is known to have extremely inflated prices to the point where even with this offer you can end up spending more money. Example, jars of juice that cost $2 everywhere can literally be like $8 at these stores.

But, since I know what is usually the best deals and that the weekend has reasonable sales off I went. I ended up buying a few packages of mixed nuts and some other household items that were on sale saw as dish soap and toothpaste. It was a great deal overall and if I wait long enough for a bonus redemption event such as those 90,000 points for $150 I would have essentially made and its like they paid me literally to shop there.

It’s very important here though never to go in thinking they are giving you $50 for free so you can just buy whatever even at inflated prices since it is still cheaper at times. Frugal shopping requires consistency to put yourself in a great position financially.
