As a local in Vancouver it’s interesting to hear all the people who are normally not very entrepreneurial all of a sudden coming up with ideas on how they can potentially create some kind of side hustle during the FIFA games that there will be a lot of tourists. Everything from making food to acting as a tour guide a lot of people have the urge to do something. For others they are simply thinking of just enjoying the event as it is a once in a lifetime type of activity.
It does make you think in these cases where it can be the perfect time to launch a business idea. If your offering is really that good traffic shouldn’t be an issue. It reminds me on those shows I have seen where business owners get scolded for closing on say holidays or a game day because they want to enjoy the festivities where in turn they are losing a lot of potential business.
You are restir cited of course in terms of what businesses would be good for that time. But even things like a lemonade stand for a child would be a great time to try it out as an example.
