I was actually debating if I wanted to take an offer to work on a project which actually involves travel and the first option I looked at were flights. There are actually cheaper options such as taking the ferry but figured if there is a great deal then why not? That’s what kind of surprised me as it didn’t even cross my mind that there were spring break deals as I was greeted with pages talking about coupons. In this case, it seemed like I could save about 25% if I chose the flight route. You could actually schedule it for a few weeks ahead too.
This is a reminder for purchases in general where it may be a good idea to hold off and look for those seasonal discounts that should be trickling I various industries. Especially travel and vacation related since Spring is coming up. In cases like these it could be a substantial savings too. With that said, I don’t know if the frugalness in me would want to go with the more expensive ride versus the cheaper one as it isn’t that big of a difference in travel since it is fairly local.
But it may actually be good for gifts as well if you know someone who needs these services too.
