Well, the time is almost up for The Bay stores here in Canada as the sale signs are up to 80% and so if you were actually interested in buying anything now would probably be the time. A lot of the high-ticket items are gone but there are plenty of smaller items such as clothing and luggage that are still everyone to be cleared out. I just bought an upright floor lamp for about $10 and might get a backpack if it is still there during the last week of sale. I don’t have to have it but it would be useful and so it’s justified with the heavy discount.
In the beginning a lot of the deals aren’t actually that great either as the prices seem inflated. But this late into the game liquidators usually want to try and dump all the remaining inventory. Sad for the business of course. But good for the consumer that needs to save money on some purchases. Especially if you need furniture such as a sofa or beds as it’s not exactly items people just randomly decide to get for the day versus those who are in the market for one.
Let’s see what the end of the week sales will be like as to my knowledge June 1st, 2025 should be the conclusion date for most stores around here in the Vancouver area.
