While going to a repair shop today I was inquiring about the prices it would cost to fix a phone and usually in smaller businesses they can often offer cheaper prices than the official manufacturer stores due to fact that they are using third party parts versus official ones. The prices were dramatically different too where apparently the knockoff brand would be about $230 and the official parts would be about $390. That is a huge difference which is enticing if you are on a budget.
I even asked if there ws a huge difference and the person’s answer was the official screen was better in quality. So is it better to get these knockoff parts to save a lot of money? I guess it really depends on things like warranty. If the phone is say five years old and you just need it to work then I would imagine the knockoff may be a wiser choice. This is assuming everything works too.
However, if it is fairly new and you need things like manufacturer support still then it would be best to get the official parts as usually there can be technicalities of using third party parts that would void your warranty in everyway.
