Just Learning Yourself Versus Paying For Courses

Sometimes it’s a good idea in your adult life to take a course in order to help you learn new skills. No one wants to say risk breaking some kind of new electronic gear they bought simply because they had no clue what they were doing. But sometimes you can just save so much money by learning it yourself if you can through trial and error. I was thinking of that today as I was out testing out the new Nikon ZR camera and it is definitely something I need practice without such as where everything is in the menus.

Usually, you can take courses such as photography ones for say $300 plus dollars. Again, it could help you speed up the process. But in this case, I amin no rush and I find I am learning so much not only in how to use this thing to maximize results but at the same time I am learning what does and doesn’t work for me such as the bag I am using to carry it.

Teaching yourself through practical trial and error can be great in helping to get things to stick faster too as it’s like a kid that touches something extremely hot to the point where they will learn fast not to do that anymore. Even for things like languages, you can probably learn a lot if you can find a conversation buddy of sort versus just paying expensive courses and reading books all day. I remember one person saying if I truly wanted to learn a language I should just go to a specific country and work for say a year or two there where I will likely master at least conversational level abilities as you are forced to hear and speak the language each day.

If you can learn yourself through hands on experience it’s not a bad idea.
