There was a lot of viral news going around today of an event called Twitch con where popular streamers from the platform had special appearances to do things like a meet and greet. In this case, a streamer called Emiru (Emily Schunk) was essentially assaulted by a man who jumped the line. It appeared that he forced himself on her and the security was really slow in reacting. A lot of the crowd had no clue what was going on either. Eventually, the man was shoved away and this made people say how that event should never take place again.
The criticism revolved around the vent’s lack of security. Even the worker that pushed away the assaulter was a lot smaller where people theorized that gave him confident to do what he did. You shouldn’t cheap out on security for your VIP’s in these cases. If anything, cut the budget from something else such as less fancy food if you need to. There are just too many potential stalkers as an example at these events.
No celebrity would want to show up after if they knew there is a high likelihood of stuff like this happening again.
