I guess this year I will be debating on which direction I want to go with a local cell phone repair company owned by Assurant and the company Samsung as they created a huge legal mess in dealing with my defective phone where it seemed like each company has workers that don’t even understand clearly their own policies. So ultimately, I can take them to court. However, there are other options such as reporting them to official consumer protection branches. It does make you wonder at what point do you go all way legally in these cases?
I think for myself it comes down to how much deception I feel the party has demonstrated in the process as it then becomes a matter of principle and trying to protect others as well if my proof is really strong. This is different than if it is just bad service like eating subpar food as at most I would maybe leave a critical review and not go back. But in this case, the store owner seemed like he didn’t want to take accountability and even suggested I just go to a lawyer. Be careful what you wish for huh?
So with that, I am motivated to find options that will expose the whole situation as unfortunately for a lot of businesses words aren’t enough as they need to be affected financially.
