This got me thinking recently with my current experience with Samsung and its warranty repair process as usually as a consumer you would think you can simply be at ease when a company says they will take care of everything. So, you say ship the product out and wait for your working product tor return. But in this case, their repair center gave me an excuse after alleging I must have tampered with the phone and so they denied the repair. I actually went through all official Samsung channels to get my phone serviced where most people would be really upset. I wasn’t though. Why? Because I actually made sure to document everything including visiting t he stores to filming me packaging the phone to ship. So at this point, if anyone tries to claim I did something to it this will make it look silly.
It’s unfortunate but necessary nowadays as I have heard companies using more excuses to deny say warranty repairs for customers as usually it is solely your word versus theirs. Knowing full well that may have happened, I wanted to make sure I had tangible proof. It’s the next best thing to actually having parties say sign contracts and all in these consumer cases. It will probably cost the company way more too if they realize the proof contradicts their statements. Massive negative PR case incoming in those scenarios.
Again, in a perfect world you shouldn’t have to worry about this. But it’s just reality that a lot of companies will make all the excuse in the world not to address an issue. Without the proof you are kind of out of luck.
