Today took an unexcepted turn as I was pretty much wrapping up my day and almost back at home when suddenly I checked my e-mail and a store informed me that my camera had arrived to pick up. There was actually some fireworks today where it would be a great way to test it. However, that meant backtracking to the busy city area and that could take a while during rush hour. So instead, when I arrived back this store was actually close to the rapid transit. I hopped on the train hoping everything will go smoothly.
Sure enough, the train arrived and was actually going faster than normal due to the Halloween traffic anticipation and buses were everywhere too. It actually ended up only taking about twenty-five minutes to get to the store one way. After getting home, charging the battery a little and setting the camera up, I took it out for a test with the fireworks show that was nearby and it looked great.
It’s a great example how you should try and having multiple transportation options as sometimes one or the other is way faster. Example, people who drive cars usually do take the skytrain here for fireworks events as it is so much faster than fighting the traffic. Or they do a combo where they park near the skytrain so that at the end of the day they can use the train to avoid the main crowd and drive back with the car. Keep your options open.
