I mentioned the other day I bought these pricey socks called Darn Tough and for the most part they are fantastic as it made walking long trips so much better. It seems after by 125,000 step a day walk a hole has developed in it. Now I remember when I bought this the literature all said this had a lifetime warranty where you can get replacements if that happens. I looked at the warranty replacements forms too and apparently the depot is right here in Vancouver.
This is great as I will test out to see if the company is true to its word as I always love t when companies stand behind their products like this. Especially for premium priced ones. Oddly enough, in my mind if they end up replacing this I will probably buy more of their products as it has the customer service and quality to justify it in my mind. A lot of businesses would think you should cut the warranty down so that people have to buy new ones sooner. But as you know that can just lead to people buying something else next time around. This direction can actually develop customer loyalty which people often have to spend a lot to try and earn.
This is one of those times where as a company you can’t just look at numbers alone to make decisions. People are willing to pay more as well if the quality and service matches the expectation.
