There was unfortunate new recently that the actor Gene Hackman had passed away and oddly enough his wife appeared to have also passed away which in itself is suspicious. However, one topic that came recently was his wealth and who would get to keep his inheritance. From what I read, in his will he provided everything to his wife where his children actually weren’t in the will. Because they both passed away so closely time wise, it was reported that that all of his wealth would go to charity.
That’s an interesting topic I have heard more frequently of wealthy people refusing to give their children anything as they want them to earn everything themselves. Apparently in this case he had issues with his children as he wasn’t there many times when they grew up. But I do wonder if that makes sense. I can see if there is something criminal related, but just saying you want them to earn everything makes me think how it can be as sense of “greed” in the same vein as say people who don’t want to see others benefit per se. Worst case scenario stories are friends that actively try and do everything to not support their friends when they experience success as they can’t stand to see people they know grow bigger.
That’s the kind of what I would think in this situation. There are parents who actually treat their kids bad because they don’t want them to be more successful than them. Again, unless it’s something criminal related I would tend to keep it within say family or very close friends overall first. If anything, I should trust that the people I give it to will do great things in the world with it.
