Nowadays you can pretty much find a bunch of sites that allow you to post classified ads for free such as Craigslist as opposed to places that charge you a fee to do so. Not surprisingly a lot of big companies nowadays opt to use things like these as well. I was then reading this debate about how many people feel that any company that advertises its services or human resource needs must be an unprofessional company to work with.
I have personally seen many large companies use free classified ads online and I would definitely say that in no way makes them less professional. It can be smarter in many ways too as the likely hood of it getting seen by more people is pretty high. I personally view it as unprofessional if the person leaves no type of contact information for you to verify some basic information. Example, if it is a company advertising to hire people then it should have details about the company and contact information for you to scrutinize.
I personally don’t see how it is too much different from spending say $50 on a newspaper ad other than these ways you save money in the process.
