Well, today was a fascinating day as I believe I just saw potentially proof of a repair store doing something bad while trying to hide it to the point where I would think this could be consumer fraud. Now in these cases if it does end up being something fraudulent companies would try their best to discourage the person from speaking out. Example, offering generous compensation to sign an NDA or to delete their evidence.
But what would you do in this case? Because I am not surprised most people would just take what they can if it dealt with them just originally wanting their stuff fixed and to let it be as I am sure life can get very interesting if companies really want to silence people. Although, this isn’t a national security issue of course. On the other end, if one did see questionable business practices then likely it has happened to others too.
What would you do in these situations? I suppose it really depends how bad say the deception is and whether or not it seems like a massive problem. Ideally though you would do both where you would expose it so that it hopefully never happens again while at the same time being able to praise the company for trying to fix the issue. Hiding it will likely make it happen again.
