When it comes to expensive prices, Shoppers Drug Mart is one store that comes to mind for grocery items as I often found its prices for certain items to be say three times as much as the competition. It generally attracts an older demographic usually I find and so convenience is probably what a lot of people are looing for there after they do other things such as picking up a prescription. But with that said, these stores can often have random clearance deals that are a bargain.
For example, today I saw some deals that seemed too good to pass up. First, I saw these boxes of chicken burger patties for $4.99. There are about eight of them in a package and I know from other stores these would usually go for about $15 dollars or so. Then, I saw these large pizzas for about $1.99 and I know these are often over $5. These are great times to try new stuff as it beats buying a bag of chips as an example.
But it’s the perfect example how you could just always ignore these expensive stores. But you may be frequently missing out on these types of deals. I would assume they probably have more flexibility to heavily discount their items considering how much more expensive their regular prices are.
