With a new supermarket opening up around the area recently I occasionally dropped by just to see what the prices were like as I don’t usually shop at this particular business. But one thing I wondered if this was intentional is whether or not unadvertised sales are a part of their business strategy to get customers coming back. Usually, stores would release a weekly flyer with deals that hopefully get people excited to shop at the store. But for this place I noticed they seem to frequently have these signs in the store that advertised an exclusive one-day sale where they do seem like a good deal.
From my experience, it works if the strategy was to get me to visit again. In fact, I know someone who wanted the broccoli so I will be dropping by to buy some. That’s probably something that is overlooked by many businesses where having unadvertised promotions is a great way to encourage frequent visits as you never know what kind of deals you could find. In these cases too, there is often more stock since it is unadvertised.
It’s nice too as usually these types of random deals are found through tore randomly clearing out certain items. If that was the intent of the sale too to clear out old stock then it’s beneficial for them, I would gather. Either way, more choices for you to save money as a consumer.
