This is like the third time I saw this happen where I saw a great offer on my for a store and it indicated it was good until the end of the day. So, I visited the store to plan out what I thought would be good and then went home to eat to where I would walk back to the store after. However, upon arrival the offer in the app suddenly disappeared even though there was plenty of time in the day left. My assumption is the app is programed for a different time zone and therefore it disappeared early.
Imagine if I actually started to put all these items in a basket only to get surprised when I pull out my phone to scan and the deal isn’t there anymore. What did I end up doing? This place is actually very expensive without deals and so I actually just walked to another store and bought items there for way less. So not all was lost, but this will make me more aware next time to get the stuff sooner if I want to take advantage of the deal.
I have actually heard of the controversy of digital price tags in stores where stuff like this may happen in real-time as well. Imagine that.
