This was kind of funny as apparently there were talks about selling the company Hasbro which owns the popular Magic The Gathering card game and billionaire Elon Musk made this post on X where he asked how much the company costs. He is someone who could buy it of course and apparently, he was interesting in the Magic The Gathering series specifically. With that there were a lot of people crying foul where if he did buy the company they would stop playing the game. My only guess is it’s largely due to politics as it seems to be a thing where if certain people are vocal about supporting a specific political side this automatically divides your customer and fan base.
This is regardless like here if the product is actually top notch and gives you exactly what you want for the money. The rationale usually is if you give money to businesses of those whom you disagree with then technically you are helping them to expand their beliefs. That’s fair and true in many ways. It does make me think though, what if the person actually just treats that business like any other where they want to provide people the best? For example, if one company offered literally the best water in the world at the best price would you actually get something worst even though it is simply a political disagreement you have with the owner?
Unless you say the business owner Is literally funding illegal activities in which I would imagine they wouldn’t be able to operate a business period.
