I recently decided to look for a local electrician to do what I feel should be very basic work as it just involves replacing an outdoor outlet that originally had a plastic cover to something more weather proof. I decided to use the site Yelp at first because there were functions that blasted your request to all local vendors who could then respond to the inquiries and get potential business. By the looks of it, quite a few were sent and about two replied very quickly.
That’s actually an important factor I feel in choosing a company as the speedy response can be a good indication that they at least have some kind of consistent communication system which in turn should mean they run a tight ship. Heck, even on these sites they have stats to tell people how fast vendors reply to requests for quotations.
Would you be inclined to pay a higher fee too even if someone replies later on with a lower fee? In many ways I would even though I always like to go with the better deal. But in this case the better deal can involve who offers the best customer service too versus just the dollar amount.
