Comparing Prices In Other Parts of The Country

This was a funny example on how looking at prices in multiple locations for the same store may yield different results. In this case, I was just walking through the clearance section as there still seems to be candy leftover from the Christmas time that hasn’t sold still. There were these large boxes of liquorish that seemed like a decent price at $7.94 as the originally price was close to $16. I was thinking about getting it as a treat. But here was the funny thing. If you look at stores in other areas you can see they are clearing out the exact same product. But there the price is tagged at $4.

This is literally the same store franchise too where you would assume prices would be universal. But usually with clearance prices it can be store specific as it is up to say the managers. It should give you a good idea still on what products are actively being cleared out. But it can save you a lot of money by still checking out each store if it is on your way before just committing to the first place you see it at. I would have had buyer’s remorse if I just bought it right away.
