There was a lot of warning today due to low visibility with a bunch of fog in various areas. This makes driving a car a nightmare in a lot of cases and you could clearly hear people honking at each other constantly. During times like these though, it makes you think on whether or not it’s a good idea to have multiple forms of transportation in case the weather just isn’t cooperating. For example, with low visibility maybe taking the skytrain when possible would be better. A lot of people usually say park the car near a station to then ride the train to save money.
Or snow is another example where for very short trips perhaps even just walking say fie blocks is better than trying to drive that short distance, find parking, etc. I usually try to have multiple options in general even on regular days such as if traffic accidents happen and certain roads are shut off. Today I actually used the train more and it got me to where I needed to go quickly and painlessly regardless of all the fog.
They say it may snow next week too so even more reason to have backups if you must travel.
