There was a lot of news today where official in Florida were warning about a large hurricane approaching the area that could be the worst they have ever seen and as a result they are advising people in the affected areas to start evacuating now if they can. While on the outside you would think everyone would scramble to do this now, there is a factor on how a lot of people simply don’t want to lose everything they have and so they will try everything possible to salvage their important belongings. Example, manually trying to load as many items into a truck as possible.
It does make me wonder, do you ever prepare for disasters like these in regards to a plan to keep all of your important belongings? I know some people with homes have even invested in making “underground bunkers” of sort more as storage so if there was ever a situation like this they could technically have a good chance in saving everything they need. Or in more extreme cases I suppose one could live in it which means they don’t have to evacuate technically.
Not everyone has the same luxury of course such as if one lives in an apartment. Then again, I would assume in that case one would technically have less to potentially transport. We usually prepare with things like insurance when it comes to natural disasters and recovering the value of belongings. But are you prepared to quickly leave with things that have sentimental or historical value where you invested in a way to do that?
