Buying The Whole Product Versus Just Pieces

When it comes to making things like soup chicken bones are often an item used as an ingredient and because of that many people actually purchase the bones alone as a recipe ingredient. This is what got one person to react today on how they felt silly that they actually did just buy the bones alone many times. This came up because the other day at the supermarket I saw packages of chicken bones for about $1.80 a pound. That sounded crazy as in comparison you could actually get whole chicken drumstick at that exact price.

So why would you just buy the plain bones when you can get it with the meat as well for that price right? This is why the person reacted. Now apparently they did this because they were used to seeing chicken drumsticks for almost $4 a pound at stores and so $1.80 for the bone seems okay if that is all they really needed. But when they realized the drumsticks frequently went on sale to $1.80 a pound as well things changed of course.

That can be a common theme where if it makes sense you may as well actually get the whole thing per se. Especially if it is virtually the same price.
