Many people often complain about jobs where they have some kind of management constantly monitoring them as if they are in a prison versus just letting them do their jobs. Micromanaging is not often a positive for many employees. With that said, this was making rounds today on how apparently Burger King is going to use AI to help monitor and advise its employees in real-time in regards to their interactions with customers.
It sounds like employees will be wearing some kind of ear piece that can monitor if employees are greeting people properly as if it literally is a manger evaluating you and instantly it could provide feedbacks and reminder as to how one should be communicating. I would imagine it would also keep records as well. Imagine this at a sales job where the AI will now always know if you are pitching people to buy certain add-ons and all.
I know they say AI is coming for people’s jobs and all. I didn’t expect to see something like this so soon though. It makes you wonder if stuff like this will discourage people from working certain jobs. Then again, everything in these cases may just be automated in the future.
