There were a few stories today talking about how Disney was going to open up a studio here in Vancouver with it first production being a TV series called Moana. While it will still be awhile until the studio opens up I was reading how a lot of people are already trying to prepare to get a job with the company.
What made it more interesting is that many of the hopefully candidates actually have no experience in what they would like to be hired in. So they are actually trying to increase their skills right now to increase their chances of getting a job. I actually wonder how practical that would be considering one would be competing with veterans in their field.
Then again, a brand new opening usually means the hiring process can be more lenient where once they have established their core then the rest of the workers to hire would often heavily depend on personality and work ethic.
