With all the news of a trade war between the US and Canada apparently sporting events like NHL games here in Canada are reporting that fans are booing whenever they hear the American national anthem as a sign to show displeasure of the US tariff. It would appear that regardless if there are a lot of people who say disagree with the stance a lot of people have developed a mentality of everyone from the other country is an enemy.
It has to make you wonder if that is the right thing to do in these situations that obviously require some kind of negotiate as it’s almost like one putting themselves in a position where the only way to settle it is to completely get rid of the other. I would think this would be so basic where both sides just need to be very transparent about what the demands were and what was done. People should clearly be able to tell who is being unreasonable afterwards and I wouldn’t doubt the problem will be solves fairly quickly.
It takes the emotion and tribe mentality out of the situation. The Canadian dollar took a dive because of all this too. We’ll have to see how everything pans out.
