Always Checking Prices Even If It Is Being Cleared

I am still waiting for all the liquidation prices to drop more at the Hudson Bat store here and this was a great example on how you need to avoid just buying things emotionally based on a sales sign. I was looking at this upright lamp which was listed at about $30 at the store with a 15% discount due to the liquidation. Didn’t seem tat great of a deal of course so I am holding out. However, I did look online at the general prices to see what would be considered as a good deal.

Finny enough, on the same company site they had the exact same product listed at $22 for the regular price and $18.70 after a 15% discount. That was a classic example I thought on how many times the initial liquidation prices at stores are bumped up to the point where it’s not a deal at all. Imagine this for items that are more expensive.

I think shoes are honestly the only stuff I have seen where the prices do seem to be a good deal overall.
