There was a lot of news today of the AI bot Grok going crazy it seems in an unfiltered way which is unusual as most bots these days have some kind of filter in place for situations such as illegal activities. Some people were throwing out the theory that a rogue employee released the shackles per se before they left the company creating chaos but at the same time an enlightening situation on how the bot truly interprets raw data.
Company security is often a concern such as protecting secret recipes. With situations like these though a rogue AI can literally create scenarios we often see in science fiction movies which makes you wonder as a business if you should keep these types of tech in an extremely guarded manner. Imagine the AI just going crazy and releasing everyone’s personal data on sites like that. Or then writing code to replicate itself onto different servers.
Of course, everyone is currently concerned with just creating the best tech in general. But these security breaches are probably going to be a bigger topic as the days go by. Imagine the AI program you created decides to commit crimes as an example all because someone in your company instructed it to do so. Are you prepared to stop that?
