Well apparently, this is a thing nowadays where people are publishing and selling books online that are purely generated through the use of AI software. Most notably, people seem to be flooding online markets such as Amazon stores with these books and in a lot of cases it isn’t made clear that it is an AI generated book. There doesn’t seem to be any kind of ban on such practices and I heard businesses like Amazon are simply treating them like any other book that someone writes. If it adds value and quality then why not I suppose in the company’s mind right?
Funny enough, for myself I was always told before to write a book but never really took the time to organize the material I already have on various topics. So if I was to use AI it would be more for organizing content and have it present it in a book type of setup. But just pumping out AI generated content to sell books seems a little iffy.
I wonder if that would potentially constitute as false advertisement if one markets it as if it is from a real person when in reality it isn’t. Would it matter though if you actually benefited from the content? Either way, it’s a business opportunity I suppose for people.
