I have been around this event for the last couple of days where people can get a lot of custom made material from various Olympic sites such as passes and mock athlete badges. The thing is most of the items you can get for free and therefore there are very long line ups where it can last for over an hour. Some people were then saying they could probably just spend like $10 and try to make the items themselves where it would look extremely similar.
In these situations like these I would probably still line up to get the items for memory sake even if time/value wise it makes more sense to just make it yourself from a pure money point of view. It’s more about the experience in these scenarios I’d say. Taking pictures of the event, experiencing the fun, etc. You can’t always just think of everything from a pure dollar/time view I think.
