A Small Quiet Neighborhood or Busy And Lavish Home

Today I happened to walk by my childhood home and it definitely changed as the house has obviously been remodeled by the new owner after all these years. But one thing that didn’t change and is even more apparent to me know is how the neighborhood seems very quiet per se with a lot of trees. It’s not close to any major supermarkets as an example and you don’t have any spectacular views. But as a home area it sure seems relaxing compared to the other neighborhoods I have seen.

It seems cliché where when you are younger I am sure the more lavish location is more desired. But when people have more income to the point where they don’t really need anymore the quieter areas are usually preferred. So thinking back, would it have been better to stay at that quiet location or is it just smarter to go to the busier areas when you are younger to theoretically generate more opportunities?

In that sense, I think you do need to move to different areas that are more aligned with what you need professionally. For example, if living in the busy areas means I could literally walk to work in three minutes without having to commute for half an hour or more then it makes better sense to go to the busier area despite the less peacefulness. If anything, I think in that situation it’s better to try and design the home indoors to be as serene as possible. That way, you kind of get the best of both worlds.
