While contacting some law firms to hopefully decide if anyone would be a good match for a case a lot of places have online forms you can fill out like most types of businesses which can make it more convenient to contact versus having to phone at a specific time as an example. But there was one negative to this. In some cases, you have no idea if your message actually reached anyone as it may have been filtered into the spam box as an example. Or if a customer doesn’t get a reply in awhile they can assume the business doesn’t want their money.
For this scenario, thus far only one firm seemed to have a system where even though they don’t have anyone available and it will take some time they immediately acknowledged they got the message. That at least put them on the list of potential law firms and if they actually arrange a meeting first I would likely go with them if everything else matched.
It doesn’t even have to be too complicated where as a business even an auto reply would accomplish virtually the same thing as the consumer will at least get acknowledgment that they are in queue. Otherwise, it’s like walking into a retail store where all the staff are running around and not even acknowledging you. Most would leave. Sounds like such a minor detail but it’s an important one I think.
