I was thinking as I was watching a video from a person who was essentially talking about the success that his clients have experienced because of his coaching services. I was a little weary of this as I actually know some people who have used his service and mentioned how it isn’t really worth the price tag. As well they found various examples of flawed information that he provided people. This made me think how for myself whenever I see things like a lot of testimonials I always wonder how genuine they are.

It’s nothing new of course where companies cherry pick customer feedbacks that best aid them in its goal to gain more customers. It was interesting as it’s obviously a technique that works. So with that mind isn’t it kind of fascinating that not everyone does it? My only rational thought is that the people that choose not to do it often don’t ask for the testimonial as they want genuine and organic feedback that will be worthy of say posting. However, many times people who plaster comments often ask people for it specifically and so their mindset is they just need anything for the perception.

I suppose there is technically not a right and wrong way in this. If anything I guess it’s more about do you treat things like these comments as just playing the marketing game to get more business or do you go with the noble route of trying to make sure everything is 100% genuine even if I means less sales and attention for your business?
