Recently I attended this reception that was a way to say thank you to everyone who volunteered for an event last year. One thing I was surprised with it was how there were some big companies there such as Tim Hortons offering free refreshments to people. Initially I thought that was super expensive but after attending this event I discovered that it was actually free.<\/p>\n
Apparently out of all these years the company was saying how this was actually the first event in the area that they were invited to. They have this truck available for any type of community event as people apparently just have to ask and give about a two months head notice. Can you imagine that where an event just has to ask the company where as evident not many people actually have?<\/p>\n
I can only imagine that would be due to many people assuming a large company would turn down a small community event. Just like doing sales or most things you should at least ask as opposed to making the assumptions for people right? It almost reminds me of this article before of a billionaire where no one wants to phone him or anything not because he is bad or anything but rather people are afraid of getting rejected by him due to his wealth and status. However, that is further from the truth and would jump at the opportunity to mingle with others. Sometimes you really do just have to ask.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
