This was interesting as recently I decided to participate in a summer activity this year that involved having to contribute some funds for it. While they had get together I couldn\u2019t make them but still send my share of the funds by the specified date. I did notice something odd though as I sent the funds with an e-interac and the funds were never withdrawn. So I messaged the person asking if they received it and they said they never did.<\/p>\n
Here was the surprising part though as the person mentioned that since they didn\u2019t see me at the gatherings recently and the fact that they didn\u2019t receive the payments they just thought I ultimately decided not to participate. That\u2019s an interesting thought even for business as many times we make assumptions as to whether or not people are ignoring or aren\u2019t interested in something when really they could be.<\/p>\n
Many times you just have to make sure it\u2019s an actual yes or a no. What is the main reason that people don\u2019t like to follow up in these kinds of examples? Is it the fear of rejection or the potential awkwardness where you assume the person doesn\u2019t want to be bothered?
