Recently there was a call for residents to vote on whether or not a tax should be implemented to allow the local transportation to grow. Basically, the mindset for many was that if you didn\u2019t vote a \u201cYes\u201d there would be no funds available to fix and grow the system. The results came in recently and it was a resounding \u201cNo\u201d taking 61.68% of the votes. The main reason for this was the lack of confidence in the management on the way the organization is operated.<\/p>\n

Interestingly enough, there was also news today that despite this vote the organization will continue with upgrades and will find a way to do so. Of course that got a lot of people in wondering how much money was wasted in trying to convince people to agree to a tax where they could have easily used that money for the system directly. As well, does this mean they simply didn\u2019t want to do things the hard way such as re-organizing and cleaning up any internal mishaps to potentially fix its financial situation first?<\/p>\n

Just from my personal experience, virtually everyone I have personally known who seemed to always be begging people to say loan them money or believing getting more will magically solve their problems have always remained being in a bad financial situation. Example, they don\u2019t want to give up their shopping habits or seriously keep track of their spending. Like there, I have learned that people need to change themselves first before asking for more money.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s very interesting to sort of see similar financial situations with a large organization. Of course I am unaware of just how much everything costs to run it as an example or if they refuse to do certain things that could save millions. But in my mind, whether you are an individual or a large organization there is usually something wrong that needs fixing internally first.
