Today I saw a sale for a software item where the company was advertising that you can buy it for only 2 cents.\u00a0 Normally it retails for about $40.\u00a0 I was interested in the response it would get versus simply making the item free.\u00a0 For the most part it did seem to generate more than a standard buzz based solely on the notion that it seems so unusual.\u00a0 At the same time, they make a little bit of money on it.<\/p>\n
Kind of funny how silly little twists like that can generate more buzz and awareness for a business huh?\u00a0 Makes me wonder what would happen if you have like a \u201cone and a half cent sale.\u201d\u00a0 I have seen this strategy a few times in different ways too which makes me think that it must work very well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
