I was talking to a person today who explained that in their business they pretty much get the chunk of their customers during the summer time. As a result, during the other times of the year their shop is pretty inactive. That then got into a discussion about downtime and how the business in many ways is seasonal. Funny enough, after this conversation I was looking at this grocery store that seemed to be offering so many other services such as bus tour packages and even truck rentals. It seems like in that case they tried to offer various things to ensure that they will always be busy.<\/p>\n
I guess in many ways that isn’t a bad idea. At the same time it makes me wonder if that would possibly confuse people in terms of your business identity. Although, in other cases like a grocery store I can’t really see much harm such as if you offered people the option to buy other services as a result of a partnership. Almost no different than a small store selling phone cards as an example of a way to try and generate more revenue.<\/p>\n
Then again, you could always focus in simply trying to bring in more people too so that you can solely focus on your specific niche and expertise. Either way, it’s better to do something rather than waiting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
