The story had to contain a moral lesson of sort and the theme had to revolve around one of the candidates on each team. As well, they would have to create a live presentation in-front of kids and their parents in telling the story of their book.

The two people that would be judging the task was a children’s book publisher named Margery Cuyler as well as Holly Robinson Peete who was once on the show herself. The project manger for the men was Meat Loaf and for the woman it was Lisa Rinna. Lisa appeared to not want to be the project manager though even though the majority of the team pushed her to do it.

This was definitely an episode of personality clashes when it came to the women. It was like anything and everything they couldn’t agree with each other. One point of this episode was about Dionne Warwick and her age. Because she is much older than everyone else, people just felt weird to counter her points that they didn’t agree with as it seems impolite to do so. Therefore, it made brainstorming and conversations very awkward for the team.

Lisa didn’t seem to have a very good grasp at holding the team together either as it appeared as if people like Star Jones was being more aggressive in making decisions. The men didn’t really have much drama other than a few logistical errors here and there.

The the stories the men decided to create one that rhymed. Their theme revolved around a young Lil John feeling like an outcast in front of other kids because of the way he looks. The women went with a theme about a young lion named La Toya who didn’t know how to “roar” I guess you can say. The theme was supposed to be about knowing who you are as a unique individual and being yourself. Indeed, the main comment was how it may seem a little too complex for children.

The men’s team was kind of funny as a lot of people had to dress up as females when they preformed it on stage. For the most part the children seemed to reciprocate very well. The women appeared to do okay as well too. However, the theme did seem to go over the head’s of many people in the audience. In the end, the two judges decided that the men had a better creation and so they were selected as the winners.

In the boardroom it came down to Lisa, Star and Dionne. Lisa just got hammered in every angle about her not knowing what to do as a leader. As well, she even admitted herself that she had a lot to learn when you are a project manager. Her main defense was mostly that she never wanted to be project manager in the first place and was kind of pushed into it. That didn’t really help much though as it was expressed that she still had to agree with it. As a result, she was fired.

The most interesting part for me in this episode was when people like Star and Dionne were arguing that the book credits should have their names specifically and then the team name. It just makes you wonder at how much this team doesn’t get along overall for people to be so concerned about wanting to get the spotlight in things that are supposed to be a team effort.

The task this episode was that the two teams had to create an original children’s story book.
