So one thing funny yesterday was that I went to various stores to make purchases for different items in order to build a new computer system. Every retailer appeared to have better deals in certain categories such as offering bundled discounts where if you buy certain items together you will save more.<\/p>\n
When I went to one store the staff members noticed that that I was making some big purchase as as it was pretty evident that I was buying the parts to build a new system. As a result they kept emphasizing how they have the latest processors in stock as well. However, I told them that I had already purchased it from another store.<\/p>\n
One person then asked me why I didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t purchase it from them as they would have just price matched it. I then explained that even in their own policy they mentioned that they did not price match deals when it came to bundled discounts. I suppose he recognized that I was a big shopper and so he then asked me if I could return those items to the other store as he would be willing to price match everything regardless.<\/p>\n
That was kind of interesting I thought. I guess the mentality was if you think someone will bring in a lot of business for you that you try to cater to them in every way possible. I suppose one danger in that is that a person who say does not buy as much can feel left out if they see that they are not being valued in the same manner customer wise. So in that sense if you are doing something like this where you are giving certain people better discounts it should be a little more like a private exclusive offer deal as oppose to advertising it to the world I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d say.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
